Málaga is expanding its Aula de Formación Ciudadana programme to 139 courses and 2,397 places, an increase of 397 places on the previous edition. The courses are open to residents aged 18 and over, and applications are due to open on Monday, 14 September.
The municipal company Más Cerca will organise 130 in-person courses across the city’s districts, alongside nine courses available exclusively online. In-person classes are scheduled to take place at around 30 municipal centres spanning Málaga’s 11 districts.
The programme covers 32 subjects, offering a mix of practical and creative activities. Options include computing, English, digital photography and lessons on using mobile devices, as well as drawing, painting, sewing and crafts involving materials such as clay and glass.
Physical activity and dance are also included, with classes ranging from different styles of dance and zumba to pilates and fitness maintenance. The city has not provided further details in the supplied announcement on course schedules or how places will be allocated.
The application period is expected to begin on 14 September. Information about the course list and registration process is available through the Aula de Formación Ciudadana section of the Más Cerca website.
