The Andalusian regional government’s Frutibús visited 149 municipalities across the region’s eight provinces during the 2025–2026 school year. A total of 26,122 people participated in its activities, which provide information about food and Andalusian agricultural production and promote healthy eating habits. The mobile learning classroom operates alongside the School Programme for the Consumption of Fruit, Vegetables and Milk, an initiative involving the regional departments of Health; the Presidency and Emergencies; Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development; and Education.

During the school year, the Frutibús visited 178 schools and held 793 workshops. Participants included more than 18,400 primary school pupils in grades one to six, as well as nearly 7,700 members of the public who visited the bus during open days.

The games introduce children and adults to the benefits of eating fruit, vegetables and dairy products. The regional government says the programme aims to encourage healthier consumption habits, with particular emphasis on including Andalusian milk and fruit and vegetable products in the regular diets of children and adults. The regional government allocated nearly €300,000 to the activity during the 2025–2026 school year. The funding is co-financed by the regional government and the European Union through the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (EAGF).

Activities include Frutimercado, a game about the nutrients in fruit and vegetables and where they are grown in Andalusia, intended to encourage people to follow the recommendation to eat five portions of fruit and vegetables each day. Fruticalendario focuses on planning menus and shopping lists using seasonal foods. La cocina de los secretos invites participants to find information about fruit, vegetables and dairy products hidden in drawers, cupboards and kitchen utensils. In the Frigoráculo, a concealed screen in the refrigerator provides nutritional information and consumption advice. The Plato que todo lo sabe uses visual guidance to show how much fruit and vegetables to include in a meal.

Weather permitting, a sixth activity takes place outside the bus: the Esto es la leche race, which combines physical exercise with the promotion of dairy consumption. Participants work together against the clock to fill as many milk containers as possible.
