Andalusia’s 2026 Flamenco Clubs Circuit will present 225 performances of singing, dance and instrumental music across the region’s eight provinces, with at least 470 artists taking part. The programme includes emerging and young performers as well as artists with established careers, Culture, Historical Heritage and Sport Minister Patricia del Pozo said at its presentation in Seville.

Del Pozo said the circuit is part of the Andalusian Flamenco Law and its Strategic Plan, approved by the regional government’s cabinet in May. She said the plan recognises flamenco clubs as important to preserving and sharing flamenco. The programme has a confirmed investment of €250,000, 20% more than the amount spent on the clubs in 2019, according to the minister.

The circuit’s support for younger performers also includes the Andalusian Young Flamenco Artists Circuit, run with provincial federations and the Andalusian Youth Institute. Together, the two circuits and a grant programme for associations provide €330,000 specifically for Andalusian flamenco clubs.

Artists applied through an open public call. The resulting list of nearly 300 proposals formed the basis for provincial federations to prepare their programmes. This year’s 225 performances comprise 181 singing recitals, 31 dance performances and 13 instrumental performances.

The circuit operates through a network of 329 federated clubs: 14 in Almería, 50 in Cádiz, 42 in Córdoba, 25 in Granada, 21 in Huelva, 45 in Jaén, 52 in Málaga and 80 in Seville.

Jaén began its programme with the A la Verde Oliva cycle, held from June 6 to July 11. The second phase runs from September 12 to November 28, with 30 performances in 28 municipalities. Seville’s programme, marking 50 years since the release of singer Juan Peña “El Lebrijano’s” album *Persecución*, runs through October 30 and includes 56 performances in 41 municipalities.

Almería’s circuit began August 1 and runs through November 15, with 11 singing performances in nine municipalities, in tribute to guitarist Pepe Habichuela, who recently died. Cádiz’s programme, dedicated to María Vargas Fernández, runs September 5 to November 21 and includes 33 performances in 22 municipalities. Granada’s programme, dedicated to Antonio Campos Muñoz, runs August 15 to November 21 and includes 15 performances in 15 municipalities.

Málaga’s programme, in tribute to flamenco scholar and collector Luis Soler, runs September 5 to November 28 and features 35 performances in 30 municipalities. Huelva will host 14 performances in 12 municipalities from September 5 to November 21. Córdoba’s programme, dedicated to Antonio González del Moral, runs November 6 to 28 and includes 30 performances in 28 municipalities.
