Marbella taxi-licence holders have until Wednesday, 11 November, to apply for municipal grants towards buying or adapting vehicles to carry passengers with reduced mobility. The scheme has a total budget of €56,000.
Applicants must hold an active municipal taxi licence and have acquired or adapted an eligible vehicle between 19 December 2022 and the application deadline. Successful applicants must keep their licence adapted for at least four years after the grant is definitively awarded and meet the required accessibility standards.
The grants will be awarded competitively, with applications scored against criteria including vehicle adaptation, newly created licences and renewal of adapted vehicles. Integration with a radio-taxi service and a licence-holder’s disability recognition of 33% or more are also among the factors considered.
There is no fixed grant per applicant: funds will be allocated in proportion to scores, and no award can exceed the documented cost of purchasing or adapting the vehicle.
