Agatha Christie’s country-house murder mystery The Hollow is due to run at Fuengirola’s Salon Varietes Theatre from Wednesday, 4 November, to Sunday, 8 November.

The production is directed by Lynn Halliday. In the play, a gathering of family and friends at a country house is disrupted by a shooting, leaving those present under suspicion. Christie’s stage version does not feature Hercule Poirot, focusing instead on the characters and their relationships.

Performances are scheduled for 7.30pm from Wednesday through Saturday, and 7pm on Sunday. That gives audiences five opportunities to see the production during its run.

The theatre is on Calle Emancipacion in Fuengirola. Tickets are available through the Salon Varietes Theatre website. The theatre advises customers to buy only through its own booking channels; the supplied report says online-payment problems may be resolved by waiting around 30 minutes before trying again.

Wheelchair-access tickets can be purchased only from the box office, according to the theatre information cited in the report. Children under five are not permitted in the auditorium. Children attending must have their own seat and be accompanied by an adult.

The box office can be visited or called on (+34) 952 47 45 42 from Monday to Friday between 11am and 2.30pm, or from one hour before a performance. The theatre also lists boxoffice@salonvarietestheatre.com for email enquiries.

Christie wrote The Hollow as a novel in 1946 and adapted it for the stage in 1951. The Salon Varietes Theatre’s season runs from September to May.
