Marbella’s 2026 TodoDanza festival is scheduled to run from Saturday 3 October to Friday 6 November, with performances and related events at venues around the city. The programme is organised by the municipal Department of Culture, Education and Historical Heritage and is built around the theme “Poetics of the Body”.
The festival features 12 companies, according to the municipal listing, and combines theatre shows with outdoor dance, museum events, a documentary screening and opportunities to see artists at work. Its opening performance is “Flamenco Patrimonio” by the Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía, at the Teatro Ciudad de Marbella on 3 October at 20:00. Patricia Guerrero leads the artistic and choreographic direction.
The first outdoor events follow on Sunday 4 October under the title “Bailarle a la Paz”. Compañía Eszer’s “UNARYS” is listed for Paseo de la Alameda at 18:30, followed by Juan Berlanga’s “Juan Caballo” on Avenida del Mar at 19:00. The programme describes the latter as a meeting between a young man and a horse, staged as a dance that shifts between different kinds of encounter.
A documentary about Spanish dancer Antonio Ruiz Soler, known as Antonio el Bailarín, will be screened at Instituto Río Verde on 7 October at 18:00, followed by a discussion with director Paco Ortiz. The museum’s “Movement and Abstraction” series begins the next day, with Juan de Juan’s “Para Antonio” at the Museo del Grabado Español Contemporáneo at 18:30.
The museum hosts several further performances during the festival, including Lorena Nogal’s “PICASSA” on 14 October. The council listing says admission is free until capacity is reached; the work follows an itinerant route through the museum, requires spectators to stand and involves climbing stairs. Visitors should take those access arrangements into account.
Other dates include Marcat Dance’s “Afines” at the Teatro Ciudad de Marbella on 9 October, and Thomas Noone Dance’s family production “La gata que quería cambiar la historia” at the same venue on 11 October at noon. David Coria’s “Los Bailes Robados” is scheduled there on 17 October.
The later programme includes an open rehearsal by Chey Jurado’s company at the theatre on 23 October at 19:00. The council says invitations can be collected from two hours before the rehearsal and entry is free until capacity is reached. The company’s “Marea Weekend” is listed for the following evening as a preview performance.
The festival continues into November, but the supplied municipal programme extract ends with an entry for 29 October and does not include the remaining dates or full ticketing details. Readers should check the city’s culture agenda for current information on admission and the complete schedule before attending.
