Marbella’s urban ecological gardens will welcome visitors for an open day on Saturday, 14 November, from 10am to 4pm. The event is at Huerta del Prado, on Avenida Diego Jiménez Lima, and is supported by Marbella Town Hall.

The programme includes workshops on composting, sowing, painting tiles and identifying aromatic plants and small wildlife. Visitors can also watch demonstrations of pottery, wood carving and basketry, and browse a market selling products including honey, olive oil, cheese, bread and preserves. A food area will serve paella and other Mediterranean dishes.

A Mediterranean breakfast of mollete with locally produced extra-virgin olive oil is planned for the first 150 arrivals. Organisers say activities are intended for both children and adults. Admission is free and registration is not required.

The site has about 76 plots and close to 100 members. It is managed by the non-profit Asociación de Huertos Ecológicos Urbanos Marbella Verde, formed in 2024, and has been operating for around 15 years.
