The competition was organized by the regional Culture, Historical Heritage and Sport ministry through the Andalusian Flamenco Institute, together with the Andalusian Youth Institute and Andalusian flamenco clubs. Del Pozo said the circuit’s appearance at the Biennial would promote the visibility of emerging Andalusian talent. She described the program as a way to support emerging flamenco artists across genres and provide opportunities to perform at flamenco clubs, theaters and festivals as they move toward professional careers.

Finalists from the circuit’s second edition are due to perform again on October 21 as part of the Andalucía.Flamenco program at Málaga’s Teatro Cánovas. The circuit is scheduled to conclude on November 6 with another performance as part of Andalucía Flamenca, a program organized by the Andalusian Agency of Cultural Institutions in collaboration with the National Center for the Dissemination of Music.

Launched in 2025, the circuit is an initiative of the regional ministry, in collaboration with provincial federations of flamenco clubs and the Andalusian Youth Institute. It aims to encourage new flamenco talent and attract new audiences, particularly young people, while connecting traditional clubs with new artistic approaches.

This second edition received 82 applications. Of those, 64 artists took part in provincial galas held in collaboration with flamenco clubs in all eight provinces. The selected artists then advanced to two semifinals held in July at the Teatro Alcalde Juan Manuel Santana in Lepe and the Teatro Apolo in Almería.
