A Halloween fundraiser for dog rescue charity SOS Canya is scheduled to take place at Plaza Blanca in Sotogrande on Saturday, 31 October, from 5.30pm to 8.30pm. The event is intended for families, friends and animal lovers, with activities alongside several ways to raise money for the organisation.

Organisers’ announced programme includes live music, face painting, children’s games, food and drinks. Visitors can also enter a costume competition, take part in a raffle or bid in a silent auction.

Auction lots listed ahead of the event include a private performance by Supernova Band, golf with lunch and a pet portrait by Jess Glover. The costume competition is set to offer two prizes: a voucher for a one-person paragliding flight in Matalascañas, Huelva, and a voucher for an hour of padel coaching with Coach Gilly.

SOS Canya is a charitable foundation based in Los Barrios, in the Campo de Gibraltar area. The discovery report says the organisation supports dogs that have been rescued and are seeking safe homes. It also describes continuing costs associated with food, vaccinations, veterinary care, medication and other basic needs.

The evening gives attendees several options for contributing, from bidding or buying raffle tickets to joining the activities. The event information does not specify ticket prices or whether advance booking is required, so prospective visitors should check with the organisers before setting out.

The fundraiser is scheduled to run for three hours at Plaza Blanca. Further information about the event and SOS Canya’s work is available through the charity’s Facebook page.
