Málaga’s university blood donation campaign is scheduled to run from 4 November to 16 December, with mobile collection sessions at 14 locations across the province. The campaign is organised by the Málaga Transfusion, Tissues and Cells Centre (CTTC), which has set a target of 1,500 donations this academic year.

Sessions are planned across the University of Málaga campuses at Teatinos, Ampliación de Teatinos and El Ejido, as well as at the Alfonso X el Sabio Mare Nostrum University. The programme also includes locations in Antequera and Ronda.

Most sessions are scheduled for 9.30am to 2pm, with many also opening from 4pm to 8pm. The schedule includes morning-only sessions at some sites and an afternoon session in Ronda. The final collection is planned for 16 December at UAX Mare Nostrum.

The CTTC says hospitals in Málaga province need between 200 and 250 units of blood each day. In the previous university campaign, it recorded 1,127 donations; 42 per cent were from first-time donors, and 350 participants registered as bone marrow donors.
