Andalusia’s Ministry of Employment, Enterprise and Self-Employment has published its 2026 competitive-grant call for training to meet the needs of the region’s aerospace sector in the Official Gazette of the Government of Andalusia (BOJA). The €2,121,253 allocation is 29% higher than the amount for the first call in 2025. The funded courses are intended to train 795 unemployed people in the provinces of Cádiz, Málaga and Seville. Interested organizations may apply from July 11 through July 27.
The program combines workplace training linked to the National Employment System’s Catalogue of Training Specialties with Grade C vocational training offers under the new Vocational Training System. The aim is to provide participants with more specialized training that is connected to companies’ needs and can lead to official accreditations.
The vocational training offer has two in-person strands, both for unemployed people. One covers specialties that are not linked to professional certificates; the other comprises Grade C vocational training offers. Private training centers, both for-profit and nonprofit, may apply, depending on the province. Grants may cover up to 100% of the cost of the training activity.
The aerospace project followed social dialogue. On July 23, 2025, the ministry signed a general action protocol with major aerospace associations and companies operating in Andalusia: Airbus Operations, Airbus Defence and Space, Aerocádiz, Aerosevilla and the Andalusian Aerospace Cluster. The protocol set out the design and implementation of the specialized training project, tailored to the needs of the sector.
The ministry’s first edition of the project is being delivered through three calls, in 2025, 2026 and 2027, with an investment expected to total around €8 million. Its stated aim is to develop suitable training for up to 2,610 workers and improve the industry’s competitiveness.
