The Andalusian government’s Cabinet was briefed on damage and repair work at schools affected by rain and wind storms in January and February, as part of the “Andalucía Actúa” plan. The Andalusian Public Education Agency (APAE) is handling work requiring specialist intervention because of its cost or technical complexity. It is managing 229 projects worth nearly €37 million.

Of these, 110 projects have been completed and 67 are under construction. Together, they represent more than 77% of the planned works. The largest number of projects are in the provinces of Cádiz, Málaga and Jaén, although work is under way in every province.
