Mijas is extending opening hours at La Purísima municipal cemetery for All Saints’ Day, with a free shuttle bus from Osunillas also available over the three-day period, the town council says.
The cemetery will open from 9am to 8pm on 31 October. On 1 November, it will be open from 8am to 10pm, and on 2 November from 8am to 7pm. The council says the longer hours are intended to make it easier for people to visit.
A commemorative mass is scheduled for 5.30pm on 1 November in the cemetery chapel. The council says it will be followed by the traditional blessing of the cemetery by parish priest Marcel.
The free shuttle will run from Osunillas to the cemetery. On 31 October, its hours are 9.30am to 8.30pm; on 1 November, 9.30am to 10.30pm; and on 2 November, 9am to 3pm.
The shuttle’s final service times are not specified in the council’s announcement, so passengers should check locally before travelling. The cemetery and bus timetables differ, particularly on 2 November, when the cemetery remains open until 7pm but the shuttle service ends at 3pm.
The arrangements are for people visiting La Purísima during the All Saints’ Day period. The council’s notice, dated 27 October 2026, gives the opening and transport schedules but does not provide further details on bus frequency or stops.
