Mijas Town Hall has published guidance on the security certificates residents need to access its online office, the Sede Electrónica. The council says users must have two certificates from the FNMT Servidores Seguros root authority installed in their web browser.
The required files are the FNMT Servidores Seguros Root Certificate and the FNMT Servidores Seguros Type 1 Intermediate Certificate. The town hall has also made an installation guide available as a PDF in Spanish.
The instructions concern access to the council’s electronic services through its website. Users who do not already have the certificates installed may need to add them to their browser before using the online office.
The council’s notice does not specify which individual online procedures require access, or whether the certificates are needed for any other websites. It identifies them as the security certificates required to navigate the Mijas Sede Electrónica securely.
Residents can download the certificate files and consult the installation guide from the town hall’s information page. The published material does not set out a deadline or announce a change to the services available online.
