Pancho Campo, a Marbella-based former professional tennis player and entrepreneur, plans to skydive in the Mount Everest region in Nepal between 11 and 14 November. The 65-year-old says the attempt is intended to draw attention to bullying and support young people affected by it.

Campo’s project is called Zero Bullying. It brings together his US-based Planet Future Foundation and The American College in Spain, which is based in Marbella. The campaign is backed by the Spanish Association for the Prevention of School Bullying (AEPAE), according to the report announcing the plan.

The proposed jump would use a high-altitude, low-opening (HALO) method. Campo is expected to leave a helicopter at more than 7,000 metres, remain in freefall before opening an enlarged parachute, and use supplemental oxygen. The reported conditions include temperatures that could reach minus 40 degrees Celsius; the jump’s completion is not guaranteed.

If he succeeds, Campo would become the first Spaniard to make an individual solo skydive in the Everest region and the oldest person to complete the feat, according to the report. Those records therefore depend on the jump taking place as planned and on the claims being verified.

Campo has previously used a skydive to promote the same cause. In August 2024, he completed a HALO jump in Herning, Denmark, and used it to call for an end to bullying, the report said. He has described the fear of jumping as comparable to the fear children may experience when bullied.

The campaign’s stated focus is school-age children and young people facing bullying, including online abuse. The supplied report cites research from the ANAR Foundation saying more than 14 per cent of students report experiencing or witnessing school bullying or online abuse. No details of the study’s sample or date were provided.

The Nepal expedition is scheduled for 11–14 November, but the report gives no information about a public event, fundraising target or local services attached to the campaign. Supporters are directed to follow Campo’s social media accounts for updates and preparations. For Marbella residents, the plan is a local figure’s international awareness effort; its practical outcome will depend on whether the jump goes ahead and how the campaign develops afterward.
