A professional boxing show with a Commonwealth title bout is scheduled for Saturday, November 7, at the Hard Rock Hotel Marbella in Nueva Andalucía. The event, organised by New Era Boxing, is billed as a black-tie gala combining fights with dining, entertainment and fundraising.
The main contest is set to see Gibraltar’s Tyrone “El Bombero” Buttigieg defend his Commonwealth super-bantamweight title against Tanzania’s Hassan Ndonga. The promoter’s listed records are 13 wins without a loss for Buttigieg and 14 wins, four losses and one draw for Ndonga. The discovery report says Ndonga has seven knockouts and has previously held Tanzania’s national title in the same division.
Several undercard fights have also been announced. They include Algeciras boxer Grizzly Ortiz against Britain’s Deepak Pathak, and Sweden’s unbeaten Agit Bilge against Venezuela’s Melbyn Hernandez. Other scheduled match-ups are Jordan Sherriff against Robin Zamora and Robert Toman against Keine Montenegro. The promoter has also listed bouts involving Britain’s Freddy Warren and Sweden’s Patricia Berghult, but their opponents have not been confirmed.
The gala’s non-boxing programme is expected to include a charity auction and raffle, followed by an after-party. The discovery report says auction and raffle proceeds are intended for a children’s charity, with the beneficiary still being selected through New Era Boxing’s social-media channels. Announced prize examples include helicopter experiences and jewellery; promotional material also mentions hotel stays and spa experiences.
Ticket options have different inclusions and dress requirements. Standard admission is listed at €85 and covers entry to the boxing, but not food or drinks; a collared shirt or blouse and trousers or a skirt are required, while jeans and sportswear are prohibited. VIP tickets cost €249 and include dinner and drinks, with black tie requested. The €399 VVIP option adds a pre-event meet-and-greet, networking access and entry to the official after-party.
According to the event information, VIP doors are due to open at 6pm and general admission at 7pm. The main programme is expected to finish at about 11.30pm, before the VVIP after-party continues. Those considering attending should check the organiser’s official ticket information for availability and final arrangements; New Era Boxing is also listed as a contact for ticket, table and VIP enquiries.
