Sould Park Málaga is scheduled to open on 19 December at a site beside Plaza Mayor shopping centre, according to the project details reported by Sur in English. The opening target is before the end of the year, though no contingency date is provided if work runs late.
The park is being built east of the shopping centre, next to the Porcelanosa store, the motorway and two fast-food restaurants. It covers 21,000 square metres and is intended as a family entertainment destination, with rides and indoor and outdoor leisure options.
Planned attractions include a carousel, two rollercoasters, bumper cars, flying chairs, a grasshopper ride, a children’s freefall attraction and boats on a pond. The site is also set to have a ball pit and a 2,500-square-metre mini-golf course.
Other facilities listed for the park include a bowling alley with around 20 lanes, a sports bar, a market and approximately ten food trucks. The bowling venue is described in the report as the largest in Málaga; that distinction was not independently corroborated in the material available.
The project budget has risen from €15 million to €24 million, according to the discovery report. It does not give a breakdown of the increased cost or specify whether all planned attractions and services will be operating on opening day.
The proposed date falls shortly before Christmas, and the report says a festive theme is likely. That is not confirmed as an announced programme. Visitors should check directly with the venue for opening arrangements, hours, ticket prices and which facilities are available when it opens.
