A Disney series is filming scenes at Punta Chullera, on Manilva’s coastline, as part of a production that has been moving between locations across Málaga province during October and November, according to Euro Weekly News.
The project is titled Fuimos eternos, meaning “We Were Eternal”. It was created by Málaga-born writer and director Ramón Salazar, and is being made by production company Anima Stillking. The report says the crew spent several weeks looking around the province for natural settings before filming at Punta Chullera.
The coastal site is a rugged stretch of shoreline known for its rocky formations and views across the Mediterranean. The filming puts Manilva among a group of provincial locations involved in the production, though no details have been released about which scenes are being shot at each place.
Other locations identified in the report include the Maro cliffs in Nerja, the port at Caleta de Vélez, Frigiliana and Riogordo. The route spans coastal and inland parts of Málaga province, including the Axarquía in the east.
Disney has not officially announced the series, and the report says confidentiality agreements leave the plot, cast, number of episodes and release date unknown. It is therefore not yet clear when viewers might see Punta Chullera on screen.
Salazar’s previous work includes the film La enfermedad del domingo (Sunday’s Illness) and episodes of the Spanish series Elite and Vis a Vis, known internationally as Locked Up. The Axarquía Film Office, which assists productions with location searches, has also suggested further Disney productions may visit the area in the coming months, according to the report.
For residents and visitors, the practical effect established so far is the presence of a film crew at the coast. Anyone encountering filming can keep a respectful distance; no specific public access restrictions or disruption were reported.
